Lighting Control
Elegant homes often have mood-lighting and lighting scenes designed by the consumer to fit the scene you are trying to create. Lighting control systems reproduce the scenes at the touch of a button, or can be fully automated. Large areas of lighting from several switches in different places can be controlled by a single button. For example, a complete pathway from the master bedroom to the kitchen could be lit up with one button, while programmed to be dimmed to 50% when turned on after midnight if one wakes late at night and doesn't want to be stunned by full brightness.

An all-lights-on button could light up the entire home in an emergency or for a fire to half so as to not blind you if there is smoke present.

The best part of a lighting system control is the "wall wart" of several switches can be replaced by a beautiful single gang keypad, that will do everything you could want.
